So, every time I try to export a midi track when I play it out side of ableton it sounds just like an average piano instead of the track. How can I export the sound along with the beat?

When you're exporting you have two options: "Export Audio/Video", or "Export MIDI Clip", both are in the same section of the file menu. If you use "Export MIDI Clip" you will simply export the highlighted midi clip to your desktop as a MIDI file. When you go to play a MIDI clip outside of Ableton, your computer will use it's default general MIDI instrument to play back the file (that piano sound). In your case, you want to use "Export Audio/Video" to create an audio file.

Check the extension of the file you exported. It should be an audio file extension (.aif, .wav, .mp3, etc.) not a MIDI file extension (.mid).

    Hope that helps!

Check the little button up top with the arrow and three lines and make sure that is not lit up! Sorry I don't know my terminology, but that could be your problem.
