Every time I insert a new MIDI track, there is a default VST that is assigned to it. How can I remove the default?

Not really sure how I set the program to do it but it's kind of annoying especially when I don't use the particular VST often. How can I insert a blank MIDI track instead?

    Hi Harrison,

You can remove any defaults from the "user library -> defaults" folder. In your case there should be a folder called "creating tracks" and a sub folder "MIDI track", which you can safely delete.

You can create default tracks by right-clicking the track header. At the bottom of the context menu, you will find the option "save as default audio / MIDI track".

The same works with default presets for devices if you rightclick the title bar.
