Default effects on creation of track

Does anyone know of a way to setup live so that it automatically inserts one or more effects into a track when it is created?

For example, such a feature could allow me to have an eq effect automatically placed into a blank track upon its creation. I find there are certain plugins I tend to place on every track, so this would help quite a bit with overall workflow.

Edit for clarity: I am specifically talking about creating a track within an existing set and having an effect placed into it automatically. For instance, when I pick to add an audio track, within my live set, I want an eq(or any other plugin) to be added automatically.

Yup, templates. You need to just set up your Live set the way you want it, then

File < Preferences < File/Folder < "Save current set as default"

now it will open new sets with everything set up the way you wanted.

I don't believe it is possible to do what you are asking. However, a possible workaround which might work for you would be to always have an extra blank track in your set containing your default effects. Every time you want to add a new track, duplicate this track before using it. This isn't super neat, but it would probably be quicker then hunting through the device browser every time you want to add a track.
An alternative workaround would be to save a copy of your default track right at the top of your file hierarchy in one of your 3 file browsers (depending how you use you organise your files this might not be so neat).

Any track of any Live set can be individually accessed in a browser. It is just a matter of setting bookmarks, or default folders in a browser. Set these to a folder in which you put Live sets with various effects setup the way you want to. Then simply drag a track from the browser. This is even easier than right-clicking and selecting "Add Audio track"...

Possible work around for non v9 users - set up default groups with your common effects, save these to your user library, then just drag n drop. prefer the save as default option though...
