Cropping Audio

I know this is basic stuff and I was shown how to do it in a course but can't for the life of me figure it out now. I have an audio bass loop in a project but the beats are out of time (i.e. dont start on the first beat, and throughout) so I want to crop the beginning and move throughout.

How is this done? I thought it was just a question of selecting and moving them

If the loop is already a full number of bars, all you have to do is set it to 'loop' and then move the little arrow at the start of the loop to the start of the first beat.

Another way would be: select the preferred starting point of your loop (in the sampleview at the bottom of the screen), right click, select "set 1.1 here" and then make sure the loop is a full amout of bars. After that you can use the drop command to cut off the rest of the unused audio.
