converting the bit rate of audio files before using them in live? which program?

hey everyone.

in order to get the best audio quality out of ableton i'm curious about the best way to import external audio files into ableton.

if i understood the audio fact sheet from ableton right - see the link below for the german version -

https://www.ableton.com/de/manual/audio-fact-sheet/

than it makes the most sense, to change the audio file for example from 16 bit to 32 bit before importing them into ableton live.

Is anyone of you doing so? And if yes, which progam are you using to do that?

In my case I want to work with a few files from a cd. they are like usual for cd-files in 16 bit, but ableton is working with 32 bit.

thanks for comments and help,

hendrik
