Connecting TR8 and Roland Juno 1 synth in Ableton

Hi guys,

Currently my set up is:
-Roland TR 8 drum machine
-Roland Juno 1 synth

-Doepfer maq 16/3 (that I would like to control the synth with)

I have just connected the TR8 drum machine to ableton via usb which works fine, but I don't think I am connecting the synth to the right place (can't hear or see it in Ableton).

Can someone please let me know how I can connect the synth? Currently it is connected (midi out to midi in, stereo R & L to mix out R & L) to the TR8.

Is it not possible the use the TR8 as the audio interface?

Shouldn't you be connecting the synth to External L/R?

You are also probably trying to use the TR8 as a MIDI interface. Check if it supports MIDI-USB thru.
