Connecting Ableton Push to iPad

I've been using Apples lightning to USB adapter to connect a midi keyboard to my iPad for a while now, however I'm now looking to use my push as a midi controller for my iPad. When I connect it to my iPad (with the power source plugged in) it states that push uses too much power. Is there 1) a way I can overcome this and 2) any good apps that have support for push or that I could use push with.

Has there been updates on this front? Especially with "link" being a focus point it for Ableton. They should make and a live for iPad product.

I don't believe it could be possible for Push to work on an iPad.  It requires Ableton Live to function at all beyond just the most brain-dead simple of MIDI interfaces, and as you've discovered its power draw is pretty high.  Also myself I've discovered that Push won't work when connected through any external interface (other than a standard hub) due to it using Python.  I highly doubt there's any way to make it work with iOS but if you ever figure it out, do tell!  =)

You can try using a usb hub. I don't have a Push to test it, but I have encountered that issue with other controllers and putting a hub between the controller and iPad seems to work. Best!
