try this. on your desktop make a folder vST plugins. if using PC go to program files--native instruments--komplete --VST plugins (either 32 bit or 64, try the 32) copy all the .DLL files here (battery3.DLL,Kontakt.DLL, etc) PASTE all files into your VST plugin folder on your desktop.

    Next open ableton,go to options-preferences-midi. go to VST section. hit Browse--desktop--VST plugin (the folder you made) then hit RE-SCAN. the Ni components should show up in th eleft side of ableton in the menu. double click or drag-n-drop the device you want in the session player. hope this helps.
