Can I keep the Push in Note mode while a non-note track is selected in Live?

Here's what I'm trying to do — on one track I have the Analog device. On a return track I have a Reverb device. With the Analog track selected, the Push is in note mode and I can play a note sequence on it with my left hand. However, when I use my computer/right hand to select the Reverb track so I can adjust the reverb properties, the Push leaves Note mode and updates to reflect the now selected Reverb track. This means its not possible to play with my left hand on the Push and adjust properties of a different track with my right hand on the computer.

Is there some kind of option that will keep the Push in the Note mode of the Analog track, even though I have the reverb return track selected on the computer?

Not that I feel this is the most streamlined solution, but it's the only one I have:

Go to the reverb effect and right click its header. Select "Lock to Control Surface". This way, the controls for the reverb will be locked to the Push.
