Can I disable/alter the "All Notes Off" behavior when hitting transport Stop?

Is there anyway to disable Ableton Live sending an "All Notes Off" when I stop playback? When I use the Transport/Stop to stop playback on Live, it kills all hardware synths that are connected to my MIDI system. I may want the current synth I'm playing on to continue without interruptions even though I stopped Live.

This is also true VST synths.  I'd like for those to not get interrupted as well.

I've wanted to do this for years. In my situation, I'm running a slaved ableton session and the mater hits transport stop. I'm playing a soft synth and my output stops. I had no luck finding a solution. I think it has to be an added feature.

Most DAWs, this is a configuration item.  "What to do at STOP?"

I have even tried to do this using Max for Live by creating a midi filter in order to remove the CC123 message from the channel, but even that did not work.  Very interested to hear if anyone has solved this issue.  It makes stopping/restarting the transport while playing a VST live impossible.  Thanks for any help...

Still looking for a solution to this.  It really affects the flow of a LIVE performance.  Any ideas?

Anyone?  This could even be a hidden thing added to the options file without any UI change.  Ableton - is this possible?

I too am still looking for a response to this.  It still interrupts my live flow.  You know, it messes with my Zen Thing.  (Tron fan...)

Does Ableton reply to these 'Answers' threads?  Will we have an option to disable "All Notes Off"?

    Hi,

Thank you everyone for the feedback. We do read the threads on Answers and of course take note of any wishes expressed.

However, if you feel this is an important topic, it's a better idea to write us an email, since you will have the option to explain the feature you would like to see in more detail, which is always helpful to us. It is, of course, of particular interest to hear how you would use this feature and what for. The more detailed, the better!

Is really a shame that you people from Ableton didn't find any solution to this. Lots of people having the same problem since Live 7!!!!!! I don't think it's gonna bring you more success by actually declaring you don't give a shit of people using there own gear with live...
