Buffering Samples: What is taking place in a large set using uncompressed files ?

I can find no reference in the manual. The files are all .wav and none of them have the load to RAM toggle enabled. My understanding is that uncompressed files are not cashed and will stream from the hard disk. The set is using near the limit of 32 bit in RAM and there are not enough sample based instruments to account for this. It seems that the samples are indeed being loaded into RAM.

What is taking place when the Buffering Samples message appears ?

Thanks

Shane
