Audio crackles depending on playback position

Hey guys,

I've been having an issue with audio crackles appearing at certain points in my tracks. The only thing that changes it is where I play back from - for instance, I can play from a certain point and hear a crackle on a certain element of a soloed track, but then I could play from right on that point or even several bars before that and it will be fine. I've changed buffer size, audio drivers, interface (built in sound card or my focusrite scarlett) and it does not effect it. Interestingly, I was able to bounce out this sound so I'll attach a link to playback of a certain point where it happens, and then playing from earlier and it not happening.

Totally stumped as to what it could be. I've recently upgraded my computer and the same issue is happening on my new comp as the old one.

Edit: If I turn off the 'warp' marker on the clips (things i have recorded myself, at the original tempo so are not actually being warped) the crackle goes away. It also goes away when its not on 'complex' or 'complex pro' mode.... very very strange!

I am also experiencing this issue.  Depending on where playback is started in Arrangement view, and only when Complex or Complex Pro Warp modes are enabled for a clip.

Same thing here. I tried the following:

    • unplugging all external HDs
    • save and collect session
    • max buffer size
    • no input and outputs
    • freezing tracks
    • resampling tracks
    • no audio card
    • different bit rates bit
    • no dither
    • no multicore
    • AIFF and WAV
    • other sampling rates
The only thing that helped was turning off warp. However, in other sessions I can't do that. I don't know how this will affect the sound rendering.
This is not annoying, this is wrong.

I have had the same problem and tried the same solutions above.  Usually it is because of a poor warp job: fluctuating tempo.  But I wouldn't say this is always the case. Anyway, it hasn't gone away in version 10.
