Any tips for jazzing up a performance that is all 4-8bar scenes?

I am working on a live set of my own productions. Each of my tracks is unique and a genre similar to the prodigy. Each track will be in a separate save file and created using 4 and 8 bar audio clips. All the clips are set out in scenes which will be triggered from my midi keyboard. How do I make the set/performance interesting in between scene triggers and in between tracks?

Some fade 2 gray and cross it over/fading it out into the next scene while fading the next clip in.

Put them all in one set for starters. Map some effects, chop the bits smaller and improvise. This is all very dependent on what you will be controlling the performance with.
