Ableton Browser & Mac OSX Smart Folders/Searches

Since Apple added Tags to the OS, this solved the initial problem of having to org by Copy, folder/file/naming, etc...prehistoric at best;)  Combined with eh Mac OSX Smart Folder/Searches these Tags are money.

I'm curious if anyone has been able to configure the Ableton Browser to use these Smart Folders/Searches.  Obvious reason for this is so I can tag my sounds, midi files, preset libraries, etc... by categorie(s) of my choosing and then browse them within Ableton taking advantage of preview, warping etc...while song building.

For now, the standard "Add Folder" within Ableton does not appear to be able to leverage Mac OSX Smart Folders, or Apple doesn't allow it, whichever...but any creative ideas on this welcome.

Circling back on this...with a refresh...while not much seems to have changed in terms of Smart Folder/Search features on Mac OS updates, seems it's still not possible to leverage these powerful tools in the Ableton Browser...My searches are growing and handy, and while drag and drop from Finder into Ableton works fine....would be cool to have this inside the interface for session playback, etc...

Sadly this is still true in the latest Live 9.7.  No alias support at all, and certainly no "SmartFolder" support since those aren't folders at all, but are merely SavedSearch files that only the Finder can read.

The lack of support for aliases/symlinks is most astonishing though, in 2017.  That baffles and greatly frustrates me.

I’ve started using smart folders as a way to simplify the crazy folder structures of my Splice Sounds folders. Making this visable in Live would amazing.
