8 Track Limitation

I abandoned ProTools because I could not get it to launch on my new laptop.

Picked up Ableton and it installed clean and launched.

Watched some excellent tutorials and started several projects.

I then hit the 8 track limitation.

I would like to avoid bouncing tracks and wouldlike to not spend another $600.

What's the cheapest way (and I emphasize cheapest) way for me to get more tracks.

I am running Ableton Live 8 Launchpad Edition.

Thanks...and so frar I am having fun with this tool.

to get more tracks in your version of ableton? surely that would be upgrading to at least Live 8? Unless I misunderstand your question.

maybe you're using the educational version? I've never seen an 8 track limit before.
