The Bachelor of Music program at the School of Communication Arts at UWS offers high-level training in sound technologies, music performance, composition, music theory and musicology. World-class studios, labs and performance facilities support innovative training in cutting-edge and emerging musical practice. Ableton Live is used by students alongside other software and hardware performance interfaces to explore and extend contemporary performance, composition and production paradigms.
The school has a strong research culture in contemporary music practice and theory, with staff and research students actively engaged in developing and disseminating new knowledge through composition, performance and research into new interfaces for musical expression.
