Pops has written and performed music since the age of 14 , training formally on multiple instruments then graduating from the University of Salford with first class honors in Popular Music and Recording.

Having specialized in Music Production, Live Performance and Composition, naturally Pops continued to produce and write topline for various international labels and publishing houses, as well as her own projects, Private Joy and neo-soul collective "lovescene" As a collaborator, Pops’ past clients and collaborators include Rhythm Section, Touching Bass, International Feel, Isle of Jura, Wolf Music, The North Quarter, Apollo R&S and many more.

Growing up in an eclectic household of opera, jazz and soul, Pops has since gone on to produce a wide range of genres from soundtrack scores, prog-rock, funk and garage, to soulful house, broken-beat and neo-soul/R’n’B. Similarly this has meant Pops has been able to musically direct for a wide mixture of projects - most recently programming and performing for Island Records artist Kae Tempest for their international tour 2025-2026.

When it comes to teaching, Pops is flexible and has taught producers of hip-hop, D’n’B, tech-house and everything in between!

First introduced to Ableton Live back in 2013 when shadowing a fellow producer, Pops realized that what she thought was writer’s block was in fact just not having the right production software! Since then, it has been Pops’ main motivation to pass on the self-confidence and tools that Live provides to others experiencing the same hurdles in their musical journeys.

Pops has taught one-on-one for artists of varying levels of experience, quickly progressing to international workshops with international arts councils, charities and CICs such as the Russian Arts Council, Saffron Records, LNADJ, Brighter Sound and the Prince's Trust. Pops particularly enjoys the work she has done with female-identifying groups using her own experiences in the music industry to support others on their path.

Alongside teaching directly, Pops has written and designed a number of courses for Ableton Live - featured on Spotify and private platforms for music subscriptions services.
