Melissa Uye-Parker is a British-Nigerian producer, performer and educator based in London, making music since 2006. As a vocalist and songwriter, she has collaborated with the likes of Rae & Christian and Yesking and, more recently, produces under the moniker Mjiri.
For the past 6 years, Melissa has worked as a Music teacher in a Sixth form in West London, leading a focus on music technology. She also teaches privately from her home studio and online via Skype.

Students can expect to further their understanding and application of music technology regardless of their ability.  Specialising in Ableton Live and Push, Melissa’s lessons cover a broad range of topics such as beginner and advanced music production, creative techniques, arrangement, music theory, preparing live sets for performance and mixing. Each session is carefully planned to meet students’ individual needs.
In addition to this, Melissa specialises in helping Music teachers and schools successfully integrate technology into their classrooms.

Mel helps beginner, intermediate and advanced students finish their tracks to become release ready. Mel’s lessons cover a range of topics including songwriting and arrangement, remixing and mixing. She also teaches Push for composition and performance.
The lessons are taught via Zoom where students can easily see the instructor’s screen as well as sharing their own. Students can purchase either individual lessons or as discounted blocks of 10 hours. Those enrolled on the 10-hour route have access to a password-protected student area of exclusive music-making content.
