Jeff is also the Music Director for Island ECC (an English-speaking church in Hong Kong) and collaborates with his wife Leora Caylor to form the dream pop duo, The Weathering. The Weathering can be found on releases with Base Industry Records, 7Core Music and Del Sol Music. As a firm believer in Tech Enabled Storytelling, Jeff focuses on solutions that exploit technology to support the story, deploy automation to enhance the message and free the performer to focus on the room.
In 2013, Jeff joined three others in Hong Kong to become the first trainers certified in Asia for Ableton Live. In 2018, he completed a 2-week training intensive in Los Angeles, California called Mastertrack and hosted by Laura Escudé, CEO of Electronic Creatives. The client list of Electronic Creatives reads like a who’s who of modern pop music and includes Kanye West, Logic, The Weeknd, Drake, Harry Styles, Pentatonix, Iggy Azalea, Mike Posner, Porter Robinson, Lady Gaga, Camila Cabello, and many more. This valuable 2-week education (that included hands-on network television rehearsal experience)–combined with Jeff’s history of using Ableton Live to control tracks, lights, lyrics, autotune, and custom patch switching–position Jeff Caylor as one of the premiere resources in Asia for live playback operation, custom rig-building and live stage performance consultancy.
Jeff Caylor is available for Ableton Live training individually, as well as in classroom settings with Sol Passion Music and This Music Studio in Hong Kong.
