Elise Reitze-Swensen is a composer, music producer and percussionist, who uses Ableton Live to create intricate dance music as part of electronic duo ‘Feels’. Elise is a passionate educator of Ableton Live and also the founder of Ableton User Group and music community ‘WOMPP’ (Women of Music Production Perth).

Elise trained as a classical composer and percussionist at university and it was during this time that she discovered the world of electronic music and sound design. Ableton Live has been the tool for her creative expression since 2011 and since then she has been producing and performing electronic music with it.

Some of Elise’s career highlights have been performing at CHOGM opening ceremony, performing at Australian music festivals ‘Listen Out’, ‘Falls Festival’, ‘Laneway Festival’ and ‘Perth International Arts Festival’, receiving awards for West Australian Music’s ‘Best Electronic Producer 2017 and 2018 as well as ‘Best Live Electronic Act’ and ‘Label of The Year’ for her record label ‘WOMPP’ in 2018.

Elise has been teaching music for 7 years, including instrumental music and composition. She currently teaches Ableton Live at The University of Western Australia, as well as to high school students, private lessons and to her Ableton User Group Community ‘WOMPP’.

Elise is passionate about inspiring female, trans and non-binary music makers to produce music for themselves and in turn, help improve the representation of women in electronic music.
