Dan started training at a young age as a jazz drummer, which later translated into performing live drums to remixes of electronic music.

In 2018 Dan founded the Ableton Live training website LiveProducersOnline.com, helping artists reach their goals in the studio and on stage. To date, Dan has taught Ableton Live workshops at SAE Institute, Sweetwater, and dozens of recording studios and churches across the USA. He specializes in subjects like setting up a live performance, creative mixing with Live devices, music production workflows and beat making.

Before moving to Denver in 2022, Dan taught private lessons as well as classes at multiple recording studios in Indianapolis, IN, where he collaborated with major label artists including Mac Miller, Machine Gun Kelly, The Band Perry and others.

In 2018 Dan started Philia, a jazz-infused bass music project blending heavy hitting drums, keys, saxophone and improvised DJing. The group has shared the stage with artists including Tiesto, Slushii and Manic Focus, and performed at major festivals including Electric Forest in Rothbury, MI.
