Charly Fariseo started making music in 2001, exploring rock, pop, electronic, ambient, and incidental music as a multi-instrumentalist and self-taught producer. That curiosity led him to engineer and produce albums for multiple bands, developing an early sensitivity for how sound and technology intersect. He began using Ableton Live in 2010 and within two years was performing with Push and Live on stage, an experience that shaped his approach to teaching: Live not just as software, but as an instrument.
In 2017 he became the first Ableton Certified Trainer in Costa Rica and organizes the Costa Rica Ableton User Group, building one of the most active electronic music production communities in Central America.
Founder of 'Impulso Sonoro', a virtual community related to music production with Live for Latin America. His creative practice extends beyond teaching into new media art: he develops sound installations and explores music with plants, bridging organic processes with electronic sound.
His course offerings cover a broad range: Introduction to Live for Beginners, Music Foundations, Advanced Production, Sound Design, Live Performance, Sampling, DJing with Live, and Building Custom Racks. He teaches one-on-one sessions in his private studio, group workshops for 8–15 students, specialized clinics at universities and music institutions, and online classes for students across Latin America.
Charly's teaching philosophy centers on creativity over technique and thinking outside the box. Every session is hands-on and musical, theory only enters when it serves the music being made. Students work with professional-grade equipment including Ableton Push, Live Suite, and a fully equipped production studio, and are encouraged to develop their own sound from day one.
