Alexandria Smith is a composer/producer, performer, and creative technologist exploring new possibilities for music-making through electronic instruments, immersive audio, and interactive systems. She performs internationally as a trumpeter and electronic musician, develops new tools for creative expression, composes/produces electronic and electroacoustic music, and teaches at Georgia Tech, where she co-leads the Creative Music Technology Lab (CMTL).

Alexandria Smith is a composer/producer, performer, and audio engineer who has been working in Ableton Live since 2011. Her work explores the intersection of music, technology, and human experience through biofeedback systems, interactive instruments, spatial audio, data sonification, and creative coding.
Alexandria has been creating, performing, and producing with Ableton Live since 2011. Her work explores the intersection of music, technology, and human experience through interactive instruments, biofeedback systems, spatial audio, creative coding, and immersive media. In addition to her artistic practice, she records, produces, mixes, and masters projects spanning electronic, experimental, jazz, and classical music.
As an educator, audio engineer, and practicing artist, Alexandria helps musicians, producers, and technologists build creative workflows in Ableton Live. Drawing on more than a decade and a half of experience across higher education, professional audio, curriculum design, and K-12 education, her teaching emphasizes experimentation, critical listening, technical fluency, and the development of a personal artistic voice. She works with everyone from first-time users to professional artists interested in music production, live performance, sound design, Max for Live, and custom musical instrument development. She meets students where they are and can work across genres.
Alexandria's creative work has been presented at international festivals and conferences, where she performs and develops original works for trumpet, live electronics, interactive media, biofeedback sensing, and immersive audio environments. Her artistic practice informs her teaching, helping students connect Ableton Live with broader approaches to composition, performance, sound design, instrument design, spatial audio, and multimedia practice.
Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Alexandria regularly teaches, performs, and collaborates nationally and internationally.
