Why don't my sampletank 2 vst plugins show up in live 9 lite ?

I recently purchased a Novation Launchkey 49. It came with the live 9 lite dl. It also came with 3 plugins that show up in the live vst browser. I've installed, uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. I've tried some of the "suggestions" on the board and I'm still s.o.l. I've used sampletank with other software. Is this a live 9 issue or a sampletank issue ? I got a really assinine reply from ik.

That might be why then - It looks like Sampletank is only 32 Bit (well according to this page anyway - http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/sampletank/index.php?pp=sampletank-2-xl-specs ). You need a 32 bit host for 32 bit plugins unless you use a 32 to 64 bit bridge (which is always a bit flaky so I'd suggest against it). I suggest just installing the 32 bit version of Ableton and all should be good ( also check this page out for explanations on why 64 bit might not be for you -  https://www.ableton.com/en/articles/64bit-myths-facts/ )

I had a similar issue when I got the Total Bundle 3 from IK Media. It has Samplemoog, Sampletank, etc... a lot of stuff. Only showed Tracks and Amplitube in the Plugin section after spending a day installing everything. I went into Options - Preferences - File Folder tab and the area "Use Custom Vst Plugin Folder" (which I had selected ON, since I put my VST's in C:\VSTPlugins). I clicked it to OFF, waited 10 seconds then clicked it back on. It forces it to do a search and all of them showed up. I tried doing the rescan and it didn't find it, so I think this forces it to find them again.

Forgive me if Ableton 9 Lite is *only* 32 bit, but just to make sure - have you installed the 32bit version of Ableton rather than the 64 bit one ?

I had the same problem. 32- bit w/ ST2.5 is fussy to say the least. is your laptop32, or 64 bit?

Something to try would be to install the VSTs as an admin and also run Ableton in admin. It worked with my IK multimedia plug ins and they gave me a goliath amount of issues at first.
