Where to "put" my sample-librareis to browse them from Push 2 ?

I'm a total noob when it comes to Live and Push 2, since I have been using Reason for years (only moved to Live with Push last week).

Anyhow: I have a huge sample-library located on my NAS, that I want to be able to browse from push. After having order PUSH (before I received it, I tryes to find out how it should be done, and the solution seemed to be straight forward to simply add the root-folde of all my Sample-libraries as a "Place".

I did this and now in Live (on my PC) I see my "Sample" folder and I am able to drag samples into live. However when using the Browse-feature on Push 2, I don't see (can't find) this sample folder.

I don't want to "move" my samples into a user-folder/library in Live so I basically "mirror" my samples (no need to have the same samples use the double of disk space if I can avoid it).

Hi. I Didn't try it from a external HD like you said, but My sample folder was added and became a place just like yours and in Push 2 browsers, it appears in User Files.

I think perhaps it had to due with the first few "levels" of my folder-hierarchy did not contain any samples (e.g. my "Samples" folder did not directly contain any samples, the new level of folders did not contain samples either).

In the end I decidede to put a "_dummy-wav" sample all folders that was presiouvsly empty, so now ALL folders in the hierarchy at least contain 1 sample, and now its working just fine, and I am able to browse all folderes, from both Ableton Live, and Push2.

Work around: Add a Simpler Device.

On my Push 2, if I just browse to add an mp3 to an audio track then nothing appears in 'User Library', but If I add a simpler device, then my samples appear when i browse.
