I can't believe ReWire wasn't addressed in the 9.02 patch!  This is false advertising! There's no support at all for Ableton as a client and it goes ignored.

    Hi,

I also posted about this in the Studio One forums.  I tested Studio One 2 - 64 bit and Cubase 7 (Pro) 64-bit and verified that the ReWire master modules are loaded.  When launching Ableton Live 9 64-bit, Ableton does indeed detect that another ReWire master is running but it does NOT come up in client configuration. In fact, Studio One should have detected the presence of a ReWire slave but Live 9 doesn't show up.  I've also confirmed that both Cubase 7 and Studio One do have master ReWire support under 64-bit.

This requires Ableton tech support's verification and attention as it is starting to point to a problem with Ableton Live.

Note: https://www.ableton.com/en/articles/64bit-myths-facts/  states clearly that 64-bit ReWire is supported for slave or master.

It's broken in all DAWs, it's a general ReWire problem with Ableton.  No reaction from the devs yet it seems.  So far it is being narrowed down to the DLL being broken.

See the link for the full analysis of where this appears in the registry and where the DLL is that it is pointing to.

    From Steinberg's forums at https://www.steinberg.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=175&t=36138#p231877

...The Ableton Live Engine.dll in 9 is bad. If I manually write in the regedit to look at the one in Live 8, the Rewire panel appears in the Devices panel and 8 will Rewire. But as soon as you start 9, it changer the regestry back to the .dll file in Live 9 and it doesn't work. Good job sir! Now lets see how long it takes Ableton to fix it...
