Recording Audio into Session Clips - Abnormal Behavior?

I am trying to simply record audio into an empty clip slot on an armed audio track -

When I press the record button the clip starts recording and then stops recording after 1 bar - then automatically loops playing back the 1 bar just recorded.

The length of recording is dependent on the Global Launch Quantization in my session - so when I change the launch quantization to 2 bars it will record two bars then stop recording and play that pass on loop...

Does this have to do with the "Fixed Length" feature on push? which I am not using... or familiar with... the reason I thought to mention this stemmed from seeing the words fixed length in the launch quantization option in the Touchable application... could this be the source of the problem?

I have never experienced this before and more recently upgraded to 9 from 8.

The clip should continue to record until I do something (press stop or play on the clip to engage the looping feature that is happening automatically) It shouldn't loop automatically after 1 bar which is the result of my Launch Quantization.

I have looked at every preference option to solve this with no solution which is deeply troubling.  Please Advise.

Thanks,

Philip

So yes it was the fixed length button in Touchable which I also recently updated and should not have been on... I never turned it on so be wary.  what was strange was that even after I quit touchable and exited the server... this feature was still engaged.  Maybe this will help someone one day. best.
