Record Midi from VST to different Track

Hi there,

I have three Midi tracks, the first contains the VST (Massive or Omnisphere for instance) and the other two contain the notes pointing to different patches in VST instrument.

I would now like to record parameter changes on each of the patches into associated tracks. I am only able to record patch parameter changes in the VST track, when I click record midi is not sent to relevant patch track.

In the hope that the above is clear (!?), any help would be muchly appreciated! Many thanks,

Philippe

hi, just wondering, what exactly would you like to do with this? What exactly is it that you are trying to accomplish? Are you just trying to get the automation? or are you looking to get some midi CC data from it?

Sorry for late response, I did not get notified you answered, thank you!

Within each track I have the notes. Now that I have the notes, I would like each track for relevant patch to have automation data too i.e. cut off on filter for instance.

That should be accessible through the clip overview section. if it is not, then go to your vst, hit configure, and start clicking on knobs. I know this functionality is available in Massive, I have heard that it is not in Omnisphere.
