Multiple MIDI devices, multiple channels?

Hi,

I've got two MIDI devices through USB (MPK mini and Oxygen 49), but they both come in on Channel 1. I want them to play on different tracks at the same time. How can I make on of the devices change channels? Googled this for half a day but can't find a solution.

Thanks!

Hard to say how to do that for different midi controllers. But you have several options. For starters, you can make every track in Live 'listen' to a specific controller. You can do this by setting a track's midi input to the desired controller (i-o section above your channel faders).
Another option would be to set different midi channels like you already suggested. You will probably have to set the midi channel on each controller. Are there any options on your controllers to set the midi channels? Usually there is a 'global' midi setting where you can change the output to a specific midi channel. Once you've done that, select the desired midi channel for each track inside Live. Hope this helps you on your way.

Check the controller manuals: it will definitely be in there, at least for the Oxygen 49. Look for the 'global' midi settings.
