Looping individual channels

Is there anyway to set up a midi controller so that you can have individual loop buttons on the controller for individual channels so for instance so I can loop channel 1 when un-looping channel 2, without having to click on the channel you are unlooping/looping?

You could do it by having one clip per scene (horizontal lines), then launching scenes rather than just clips, or by binding each button on your controller to 1 clip and to the stop button(s) for the other track(s).

If you use the scene-approach, and there are some clips on other tracks you want to keep playing while messing with the loops, you can remove the stop buttons from those tracks by right-clicking the empty clip slots.

I don't think there's a way to do this "automatically" without Max for Live or other software.
