How to use a Music Pack and Midi

Hello All,

I am trying to figure out how to use hits in a music pack.  Today, I just brought my first music pack Urban Cookbook and successfully downloaded it into Ableton.

Now I play certain synth .aif files, it plays a 1 -2 second sound.  What I think I would like to do is map this to a midi keyboard and I can play the notes myself and make a song.

Is there a resource someone can recommend or  walkthrough on how I can accomplish this?

I looked more into this and I found this article:

    https://www.ableton.com/en/manual/converting-audio-to-midi/

After trying this out, this was not the desired effect I wanted.  When converting the hit/ aif file to midi, all it does it split up the sound bite, but still plays just the one note and doesn't allow me to use my keys/midi keyboard....

I want to be able to play/hold a note on my keyboard and then it plays that sound hit and also for my keyboard to use that sound and be able to sound different if I play a C,D,E,F,G etc note.

Does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts on how I can set that up or a tutorial I can search for in this topic?

Ok nevermind!  I figured it out!  All I had to do was create a midi track and simply just drag the audio file in the bottom panel! :)
