How to set exact tempo automation?

Live 8 manual has just 10 lines about the tempo automation.

I´ve tried by drawing, (also using the ctrl+alt) to set get exact (e.g. 150.00 bpm) tempo automation, it´s almost impossible by drawing,  haven´t yet found how to way how give the exact numeric values for the automation (note: by automation, not in the tempo box).

There must be way (if the Live is supposed to be a serious DAW) - please tell me how to do it.

I achieve that in a tricky way. By setting "Tempo Range Minimum" and "Tempo Range Maximum" values to desired exact values, you can draw that exact values.

    Hi Harry

    Not sure if this helps,
For automation, on various parameters,I tried turning  the control, while holding down the shift button

Gave me a more accurate automation or precise control,as the shift slowed down the movement of the knob.

It worked,so maybe it will work, for drawing in automation too?

Yes  - I´ve tried with the shift also (or ctrl+shif, I don´t know if this differs),

it helps some but is not exact.  I wonder how such a crucial parameter as

tempo change adjustement (via automation) can be such a clumsy implementation.

And no comment from the Ableton´s side... H.
