How can I change the Undo Settings of Ableton Live Intro?

Ableton Live Intro is advertised as having non-destructive unlimited undo, but alas I can't seem to undo more than 20 or so times. There's nothing that points to changing the undo limit in the preferences menu, and my numerous online searches have only pointed me to the product description that claims this exists. I'm using Live Intro 8.2.8 if that make a difference.

    Hi there,

The Undo history is cleared whenever you save your work - maybe that is the issue here? If you would like to go back further than the last save, one thing you could try is saving multiple versions of your Set.

uhmm. why don't you make it where the history doesn't get cleared out everytime you save?

    Hi there,

Thank you for all the feedback in here. We are aware of this wish and we will evaluate it at some point, but we hope you understand that we usually don't comment on development plans, so at this point we can't share any concretes on this matter.

For now, we appreciate your patience and we hope that the workaround my colleague posted further above ( saving multiple versions of your set ) can help a bit.

    Best,

    David

Yes, I notice that Ableton does NOT have a history back (UNDO) beyond when you saved it last, but it also does not have one forward (REDO) either. Why does it NOT have history forward as well ? I've scoured the web and NOBODY has mentioned this about live. It's very frustrating. I just lost a recorded live jam because I accidentally erased it by going back in history and then was not able to go forward again. I've tried CTRL+Shift+Z and also CTRL + Y still no luck. NOTHING in the manual about it either. This should be a basic ability for any program like this.

Arrgh! I'm sooo pissed off! I just lost a night's work because of a stupid cut I didn't notice until after a save.

Who's dumb idea was it to clear the undo buffer after a save???? Stop it!

While you're fixing that incredibly obvious design flaw, how about making it up to us by adding non-linear undo/redo. PLEASE!
