Deafult Save folder = desktop

Hi

Since installing Live 9 I am finding that my projects open as 'untitled', then when I try to Save, Live tries to save them as 'Untitled' on my Desktop.  This happens every time with new and old files.

Does anyone else have this issue?  Is there any way to fix it?

Thanks

Darryl

    Hi guys,

I had the same problem and found the answer on an other question...

You have to change the location where you're saving your project. If your currently saving it in the Default Ableton Folder, that's what's preventing you to save it without having a new project pop up.

    Hope this works

    Have Fun!

I'm having the same issue, haven't got an answer from support yet and the new version hasn't fixed the issue. Weirdly if I save onto somewhere other than my hard drive it's fine

I kinda have the same problem. All my live sets when opened are named untitled. And when i'm working on a live set and use the 'save live set' to save my progress it keeps asking where i want to save it and under what name..  After saving it the live set is still called *untitled in live 9.

Same here... I wish this would be addressed soon so I can continue working on projects... I don't want to save in a different folder for projects that I have a specified location for already..

The default folder is always set to 'Desktop' on Windows, and is a bit of a strange default place to save these files.  It really should remember the last "save as" folder saved into, or have a setting in the prefs menu perhaps.  This was not a problem in live 8, perhaps that behaviour was better, but I can't remember it being an issue.

I also have this problem and have created a whole heap of 'untitled' sessions before I found I could save to the desktop (Mac OSX 10.8.3).

I'm a bit OCD with my desktop and this isn't helping!
