Akai Professional APC40 mkII

In 2009, Akai Professional collaborated with Ableton on the first dedicated Ableton controller, the APC40. Now Akai has built on this original partnership to introduce a reimagined Live performance controller: the APC40 mkII.

APC40 mkII

Clip launch grid

APC40Ā mkII features a 5x8 RGB clip-launching grid, so you can launch clips using 40 responsive triggers. RGB lighting provides visual feedback and displays clip states so you can maintain focus on the controller during performance.

Assignable controls

APC40 mkII is equipped with an array of assignable controls: nine faders and eight channel control knobs, plus a further eight device control knobs enable hands-on parameter tweaking and mixer control.

Flexibility

APC40 mkIIā€™s hardware controls correspond to Liveā€™s interface, so you can plug in and play without MIDI-mapping each control first. Itā€™s also customisable - all controls can be re-assigned to suit your performance or production style - and can be powered by USB, making it ideal for DJing, live performance and studio recording.
