Changing between many sounds using a MIDI controller

I am new to Ableton and am trying to configure my MIDI keyboard (Alesis V49) so I can do live performances. I have been able to do things like map buttons, knobs, and switches to various things on the screen, and also have been able to map multiple types of sounds to different parts of the keyboard.

However I haven't figured out how I can use some button on my keyboard to change between a bunch of sounds. Basically what I am looking for is the ability to add a bunch of sounds, sample, beats, etc. into a list, and then use a pad/button/slider to go the 'next' or 'prev' of these in a list. I'm hoping that this is supported since it seems important to do what I would like to achieve.

For loading devices in Chains and switching between them (with knob or fader, doesn't work well with buttons).
