In a word, Yes. Your serial number will 'tell' that you bought the application after a certain date, thus giving you the right to DOWNLOAD the 2.0 upgrade from this site - which gives you 2.0, but means you'll be stuck with the 1.5 printed manual, and have to settle for a .pdf version of the 2.0 man...

I wouldn't say there's any similarity. Melodyne is more akin to Propellerheads ReCycle!; only, it's designed for working with and manipulating both the pitch and groove of a musical phrase, whereas ReCycle! only cares about the groove af the phrase - pitched or percussive. As you said :) Well, I've never had a problem with live, only when I run too many reverbs... else, it's never been a problem with me 700MHz G3 laptop... but as there's no such thing as destructive editing in live, it's all good :) Good luck, and I'd like to hear what you end up with... take a look a...

I'm look forward to producing my band's second demo on my 700 mHz iBook using Live. We'll need to record the drums in an actual studio, cos I don't have enough inputs (I'm using and loving an EMI 2/6), and then run them into my laptop. Then, we have an unlimited amount of time to do overdubs and ret...

So there. I am now officially an Ableton Live user!! I've installed my new best friend (it's still 1.5, cos my dealer couldn't get his arse in gear... I've been waiting for close to two and a half months) on my brothers G4, which is running osX, and it's working alright; I'm not using any 3rd party ...
