Cool spacey bleeps in Operator?

Post by abletony84 » Thu Oct 15, 2009 9:02 pm

Greetings!

Does anybody know how to create these cool spacey bleeps in Operator? Maybe also what effects would have to go along with it.

The snippet was produced by Cyne.

Cheers!

Using C3....

Set Operator A to Coarse 3 using a sine wave

Set LFO to S&H, Rate up to about 100 and amount to around 45

Tweak those settings to taste and you should be getting close....

Add reverb and delay for flavour if desired....

I would add to that the following...In operator A go to Oscillator section and draw some lines in the middle and high sections.

i think if you make less of them, and a bit less loud, and put a guitar on top like in the original, it should sound just as nice.

i don't think it lacks anything anymore.

S&H? there's nowt random going on in that track. it's an played riff, with an arpeggiator.
i was going to explain it but its a shitload quicker to just make the rack and upload.

grab this, and play some notes around C3.

Hoooooo.. wow!!! this thing is EXACTLY like the real thing..

Try playing it on top of the original track (Pretty Apollo) - can't tell the real from the fake ;)

Thanks garyboozy..
