7.0.7 sound dropout

Post by AML » Tue May 20, 2008 1:51 am

I rendered my song via "all tracks" and then made a new set, arranged, and played my song. I am getting random dropouts on different tracks for about 1/4 note at a time. I replay that section of the song, and it plays smoothly. My CPU is not spiking, and everything seems to be running perfectly. Anyone else having this problem? iMac, 4 gig RAM, 2.8 ghz OS X 10.5 here.

Hi AML,

are you using any 3rd party plug-ins in your Liveset? If so: which ones? Also,
do you use any external instruments/effects?

Best,

I asked because there are random dropouts when using multiple instances of Analog.

I have the same problem. Projects with which I can successfully export all tracks in 7.0.5 - result in continual dropouts in 7.0.7. The project itself plays back fine. I am using a number of third party plugins and external effects.

CPU peaks in live 7.0.7 when using Analog

I have got the same problem in Live 7.0.7 when using Analog. I get drop outs and cpu peaks (till 70%, while normal level is under 16%), which can not be explained by an enormous amount of plug ins, tracks, or CPU usage by other programs. Airport is turned off.

Macbook pro
AH Xone 3D
Live 7.0.7

Cheers White

Hi Witlof,

do you use more than one instance of Analog?
We recently received user reports, that under certain circumstances, multiple instances of Analog can indeed lead to random dropouts.
We are looking into this issue.

I use
two tracks with drum rack
two tracks Analog
one track with audio track
one send track with pingpong delay and beat repeat
