Without listening...
If it's a sampled bass sounds with a "wobble" already on the source sample (rather than LFO in the sampler) - it would wobble at different rates when played at different pitches.

I know what you mean, I have achieved the effect from samples, but the video actually has live bass, so I'm guessing there is some sort of an effect it runs through. I want to know what it is.

Holy shit that video is rad. Thanks for posting it! I've never even thought of looking up Tricky live on Youtube before.
I love Tricky.
One of my favorite artists for sure.

If it is played live, I reckon its going through some kind of pitch detector which is controlling the LFO rate. Nice sound init.

oh MY GOD...
What are the odds?
I just posted something in the 6th page of the Grammys thread about Tricky and Christiansands and all the amazing fun (and women) during that fun late 90's trip!!!
Please check out the track "for real". It was the last song he did that I ever liked and it is arguably the most sleep on single in recent memory.

This came out before the moogerfooger so...
Tricky used a very archaic Yamaga QY (300 or 200?) sequencer to not only arrange, but produce his tracks.

You've been getting some suggestions. Why don't you start experimenting and report back when you find out?
