INSTANT MAPPINGS

Post by aleme » Wed Jan 09, 2008 12:35 pm

the InstantMappings HowTo file in LIVE7 states: "Create a directory in 'User Defined Scripts'."

but there is no folder called 'User Defined Scripts' in the 'Resources' folder. there is only a folder called 'MIDI Remote Scripts'. is the 'MIDI Remote Scripts' folder the one where you should create a new directory for a user defined script?

You are looking "in the wrong place"
- the program area of Live

You should look for the data area of Live
Write the following in your explorer window

%appdata%

Then look in the Ableton (Live Preferences) folder

that´s a good point, oxo!

but still there is no 'User Defined Scripts' folder in the 'Preferences' folder ... in the 'Preferences' folder you´ll find only a 'User Remote Scripts' folder and some log files in windows XP.

Hi guys,

this is a typo in the HowTo-file. It should say
'User Remote Scripts' thus referring to the
folder that holds the HowTo-file.

We will fix the typo.

cheers,
Jan
