Making ASD files hidden in a folder

Post by fixed_up » Sun Oct 28, 2007 12:45 pm

Every time I drag a song into ableton it creates an ASD file of the warped track in the album folder. Is there any way of making these hidden in windows folders as when I add the album to my playlist in winamp, all the als files are in there too. Plus it makes my music folders look hideously ugly.

Thanks

Copy your tracks into another folder and don't open it with live.

I know there is a registry tweak allowing to hide certains files extension but I don't remember exactly what.

have fun wasting your time trying to make your folder look great.

send us pics once it's done

I´m guessing you mean .asd files ?

If that´s the case , go to preferences / file Folder / create analysis files off

that should fix it . . .

Yeah sorry I meant ASD files.

Its not a question of making my folders look pretty, its just irritating having a copy of EVERY song i drag into ableton in the folders.

If you sort the folder by file type, it gets less annoying. Slightly less.
