Changes from Live 6.0.2b4 to Live 6.0.2b5
Bug fixes:
A track volume of -inf would not cut the audio signal.
http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=51152
Certain audio wav files with instrument chunks would not load
in Live.
The MIDI scale device would always "swallow" MIDI notes of pitch 0 & 127.
Changing the min/max value in the mapping browser would not work properly
for certain parameter. (for instance Beat Repeat's "Interval" parameter)
Setting the Phase in several LFO driven devices (Auto Pan for instance)
does not affect the audio while transport is stopped.
Under certain conditions a playing clip would retrigered because of
a parameter change.

Arranger recording of unwarped clips would not work properly.

This version is crashing constantly for me today. Sent my bug reports too. adjusting a warp marker, playing with clip envelopes etc is causing random crashing.

Thank you so much for paying attention and actually fixing this.In Live sets with many internal routings, monitored but
unused audio tracks need more cpu load than in Live 5.
Just tested the beta, and indeed, the CPU load seems to be in line with Live 5.
Great!
I noticed that even after this fix, monitored but unused audio tracks can take some CPU (just like they did in Live5). Perhaps you would consider allowing automation of monitor settings in future versions, so as to conserve CPU for large complex sets -- or better yet, add an automatable "deactivate track" switch, that would disengage all processing/routing for a track.
---
Something that may be a fluke: the first time I ran the beta, the CPU consumption was a bit higher (70% vs 64%) and there were crackles whenever I moved the window (never happened with any previous version of Live). Second time around the problem was gone.
use midi instead of USB and it works. i had the same issue.eldar wrote:I still get Er22 on my BCF...
I also regularly get some error about midicheck.cfg when starting Live, have to locate the library folder, then *poof* serious error. Start Live again and everything's fine...
my favorites at the moment: MASSIVE. FM8. LIVE 6. Bome's Pro. KORE.
thanks, it's no big deal anyway as it's working fine when using midi-ox to "dump the dump"...just posted because a dev had posted that the error had been fixed.ben_blue wrote:use midi instead of USB and it works. i had the same issue.eldar wrote:I still get Er22 on my BCF...

Same here. Live crashes for the dumbest reasons.Tarekith wrote:This version is crashing constantly for me today. Sent my bug reports too. adjusting a warp marker, playing with clip envelopes etc is causing random crashing.

Yeah, I had about 20 crashes just yesterday alone, all completely random. I'm definitely filling up the Abe's inbox with bug reports

your imposcar needs to be upgraded to 1.0.2 version because of problems on dual core systems. check IMPoscar home pagedjc wrote:i loaded up a set and it said it couldn't load one of the wav sounds from a ableton impule set? i went back to 6.0.1 and it works fine? my east west colossus and imposcar are still making distortion sounds and clicks. i don't want to make them wav files just to listen to them in live 6.
