I wrote this In the general forum but here is more appropriate:
"yesterday I've seen something that appears strange to me.
Lowering some audio and midi tracks volume faders didn't kill the sound.
In the master there was still some audio left...it was not clearly udible, so I turned my soundcard output level all the way up and I clearly listened to the tracks output, even if their faders was all down.
Is this a normal behaviour?"
I have to say that this appens in live 6.0.1 demo and doesn't happen instead in my live 5.2.2 lite.
The odd behaviour is easily reproducible to me:
1) open live 6 and put a drumloop into a slot in the session view
2) go to the clip view and set the drumloop own volume all the way up
3) always in the session view go to the audio track where the drumloop clip is and put its mixer fader all the way down (-inf db)
4) launch the drumloop clip
you should listen and see that there is sound in the master track (about -40 db)
p.s. passage 2) is just to enfatize the problem and make more evident this strange behaviour.
