Yes yes!

For me this would be especially useful in the arrange view. I would love this to be a part of live.

In my ideal world this would be accessable via a contect menu when a range or clip is selected, and also it would be assignable to a shortcut key (or key combo).

At the moment i very rarely use 'bounce to disk' while i'm writing (although i would love to) because it completely breaks my concentration to have to navigate to find the file again to re-import it (i use 'resample' recording instead.. which also takes longer than i'd like). this operation should be as simple as blinking.

It would make working in live a joy.

(ps. a 'bounce and add to new track' function would be handy sometimes too, for the sake of completeness :) )

with an option to delete or not, or to bypass or not the fx. sounds good to me.

How about if when you dragged a non-audio clip holding down a modifier (like cntrl+shift) to an audio track it got rendered to audio on the fly?

definately need this function...

ive never tried it before but has anyone froze a track and then dragged in the frozen wav file to a new track? then deleted the frozen track. in theory it should work, no?

anyway, the freeze option right now is pretty useless..
