you may not know this, but apparently there is a midi standard, and within this standard certain CCnumbers are 'registered' or reserved for certain functions, certain functions which probably bare no relevance to you. and as such, live5 does not provide these numbers for recording your midi controller if it is sending CC data using any one of these numbers, it doesnt provide them for drawing in envelopes either. Its somewhat paradoxical then that you can use a midi channel within live, set to monitor and outputting to whatever device you want to control, and use these forbidden CC numbers, just not recording the movements....
!you will have to use live in combination with bidule, max, puredata, energyxt etc etc to remap an authorised CC to the forbidden one.......
anyways, If you'd like live6 to let us do what we like with these CC numbers, please vote yes. If you are one of the few people on the planet who has a good reason to keep these cc numbers under lock&key vote no, and maybe post an explanation so simple people like me can come to understand why we need this in place
the cc numbers are 96-101, 120-127
to some who have not reached their CC limit, this seems unimportant, to others who have reached their limit or those with hardware that uses one of these CC numbers for tweaking, it seems ridiculous
anyways, would be nice if we gathered some votes and live6 came with these CCs available to us, for the sake of fluid working
