Custom MIDI remote script

Hi,
I have a question about custom MIDI remote script.
How informations are sent to controllers, for example clip's names in push 3 ? is it sent using OSC ?

The scripts are written in Python, there are hundreds of posts on the subject in this forum if you search...

I know that the script are written in python
I know that some communication between the script and the hardware are using MIDI information

But I was wondering how about strings data
