Hello Experts
I am starting to use Ableton Live 10 and I am using it together with an Akai APC Key 25.
The midi-value-knob Controllers of the APC are Controlling the device (Instrument values)
Now I do the following:
- Record 4 drum Clips in Track 1
- Record 4 bass Clips in Track 2 (different chord order per Clip)
- Record 4 Background e.g. Strings Clips in Track 3 (different chord order, matching bass in track 2)
After doing that I would like to Play along with the Instrument in Track 4 (e.g. Synthesizer). While doing that I would like to Change the drums and/or bass and strings by activating the corresponding Clips on the APC.
When I do that, Live activates/sets the Focus to the Track from which I have launched the latest Clip.
Is there any possibility to launch the Clip(s) without changing the Track/ the Focus?
I know that I can Keep playing the Synthesizer/Track 4 with Setting the record arm to it, but Live still changes the Focus meaning the knobs of the APC Key 25 Control then not the Synthesizer but e.g. the bass Settings. Also the Plugin window changes accordingly.
I'd be really happy if there is a way so that I do not have to set back the Focus to Track 4 whenever I Change my "Background Style".
Thanks in Advance for your help.
Don't change Focus/Track when starting a clip on APC Key25

Strange - the answer is gone.
The solution was to change the Live settings.
I'll post details when I am on the PC later (1h or so).

The solution was in the Prefrences, Section "Record / Warp / Audio":
Change "Select On Launch" to "Off".
This is independent from the interface (e.g. APC KEy25), also if you click the play button of a clip in the software directly the corresponding clip and with it the track track is selected unless you switch this option to "off".
