while seeing how many minimized tracks i coul fit
on a 12" powerbook (45 btw), i noticed its ability to be a
pretty damn good lite-brite

is that a 5 feature, or can i minimize in 4?

crap thats awesome.
i hate seeing only 10 or 11 tracks on my 12incher.

You see the play and stop buttons. The step before that, you still see a bit of the clip (reducing goes step by step)

is that a 5 feature, or can i minimize in 4?

.. what skin are you using?

because on PC theres a butt ugly green border and some other font / color changes on just about every skin, its driving me nuts .. looks like its ok on a mac?

that's the skin that comes with the v5beta. It looks like that on pc as well.
mbp 2.66, osx 10.6.8, 8GB ram.

can you increase or decrease the width of each track any amount that you want?

or is it set increments, like every 1/2" or something?

I always hated on 4.0 not being about to make every track/area of live the exact size that I wanted.

you can decrease to 3/4, 1/2, and 1/4 the default track size is what you see in the picture.

you can also increase too.

any more tracks on that 12inch in full screen?

no, because i'm using all the width of the screen. the width of the window does not change in fullscreen. only the height.
however, fullscreen will give you another 3 scenes vertically. but its always been this way.

hey, what's that stuff in place of the hide/show crossfader, sends, i/o, etc. (i didn't make it to the beta :( )

I-O = In/Out
s = sends
r = returns
m = monitor
... = track delay
x = crossfader
