I have created a video which demonstrates the bug. It also occur with Live 8.
https://vimeo.com/62389852
Problem:
- the "fade" option for audio clips seems to introduce 1 sample latency which is not compensated
More detailed:
- when you play two same audio files, one phase inverted (utility device on one track with phase invert), they "cancel" perfectly
- when you enable "fade" on one track they do not "cancel" anymore
- when you create a 1 sample offset they cancel perfectly again
-> therefore it seems to me that "fade" introduce 1 sample offset which is not compensated by Live
When anything is not clear, please ask. I would be very thankful for a short feedback if you can reproduce it.
Best regards
